I think the root of the problem is the people of HK have a very different view than the general opinion in mainland China. That is not going to be fixed in short term. Meanwhile they should understand the gaps and differences and tolerate each other and look for solutions.

Having HK share the same political view as mainland China was not a condition for HK to receive continuous support from the mainland. It was not, it is not and will not be. 人家好像不是意思直选和经济优惠挂钩。我的理解是，香港怎么做是她的自由，但是应该和内陆公平竞争。香港的发展是基于她历史上的政治特殊地位，现在这个特殊性随着大陆的发展已经渐渐减弱了。
你看上个世纪三十年代，远东第一大都市是上海而不是香港，就说明问题了。至于直选不直选应该让香港人自己去解决，不过优惠政策的确应该取消。因为这样做对大陆人民不公平。

我完全同意你的说法，香港直选是自由，我支持直选，但是特殊政策要取消，这样才公平

我说的好处是从老共的立场出发的，因为老共一直怕让香港直选，我的意思是说老共应该要明白就算直选了也没有什么好怕的，直选既可以堵嘴又不能根本解决香港的社会问题，反而会激化和更加公开化发香港各个派别的政治斗争，让港人自己折腾去，操那个闲心干啥

反正有反分裂国家法，有闹港独的驱逐出境或者抓起来判刑就可以啦

No, the general public will not appreciate what CCP did. The wealth is not going to the people. Only the rich and the powerful with connection with CCP benefit from it. The wealth haven't trickle down to the people. The current HK government is too incompetent to fix the wealth gap. In a democratically elected government, they might have been ousted a long time ago. So you see, good economy but bad management, both are the results of CCP top down control. That's why some people in HK love CCP and some hates them and wants a new government. HK is turning into China, where economic progress does not have the necessary political management to properly distribute the wealth.

希腊，意大利，西班牙等国都是democratically elected government,你看政府换了，经济好转了吗？政治正确的民主选举制度真的能保证选出有能力COMPETENT的政府吗？塞铺路思这次的危机，选举解决问题了吗？民主选举出来的政府直接从储户账户里抢钱，放在国内这个是不可想象的。是不是到时也要怪土共和制度问题呢？

那你到来说说怎么个分配财富呢？前港英政府就合理分配财富了？还有，我上面就说过，香港没什么特别的，之前的繁荣是因为历史的原因，现在历史回归正轨，把香港打回原型，心理不平衡可以理解。不过解决问题还是要实际些，光把所有问题归结为土共不好制度问题不可能带来香港的持续繁荣。
