You "may" did something "strange" to cause that "大哥" slow down. :)
Remember, when you doing the test, you are holding L plate outside the car (even the driving school at the roof), when you change lane to the right. you should:
Mirror, Signal, Blind spot, Decision and Go. Most Learner vehicle "looks" intend to go RIGHT, before blind spot and turning steering wheel.
e.g. moved the steering wheel 5 to 7 cm to the RIGHT, before signal and blind spot (I always do it, :) )
Regarding to your last question, if you cannot turn right because of the traffic, you can go Straight ahead. (you can 3 chances anyway)

nono, you only can use 4 seat car for vort.
if the auditor appear, and you only got 2 seat car. in some case, examiner drive with you once, then auditor drive with you once. means you may take 2 vort.

Monitoring examiner is rare.
Revalidation is more often.
